Very Boards of Canada. Too bad it's so short, but at the same time, I love this kind of songs, short and beautiful to hear. It reminds me of "over the horizon radar" by BOC, of the album "Geodaddi".
Great work.

Cheers. I do like BOC a lot, but I find the ones that always capture my attention are the shorter tracks like Olsen or Heard From Telegraph Lines. Those always leave me wanting more.

Well, those notes are almost identical to Portishead's "Over", from the album by the album "Portishead", released in 1997. Since the song itself is basically those notes repeating themselves with those """trip-hop""" drums isn't very original, at all.
Author's Response:
took me forever to respond..but yeah, it sounds like "Over", because thats where i got the sample from....

Pretty nice, reminds me to the KMFDM movement in the 80s with all the synths and distorted guitars. Perhaps even more fuzziness would make it even better, in my taste. Have you ever tried making an industrial song, in it's classical way? I'm talking about making music out of noises and sounds. Perhaps that with your synth talent's would make an interesting combination.

From 0:14 to 0:55 it's just amazing, from another world. I am completly in love with this beginning. What's next isn't much my style, so I won't judge. I love the bass and the whole guitar in the background. Reminds me to the game "Another World" (dunno why), great song for an animation short.
Cheers!

I've just seen Perkele, and when I heard the music I was dying to know who the artist was, then I read "Jim Ether". I was thinking so hard where have I heard that name before...And then I rememberd "My Favorite Reviews", a flash I've laughed so much. I was really amazed how you have multiple talents, since you also edit videos and animate. This track is so good, it has that little melodic guitar, or piano, I can't decide wich instrument is, but it's like an awesome combination of Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada.
Awesome men, keep it up.

I just love Nick Drake. This is a song about him? Can we hear the entire thing?

I loved this cover, so well done.
The drums were lovely, and how you managed to make 'Float On' melody to this lovely sound is great. My 5 to originality is due to the cover, but inspite of that, this is a great job.
One question, what program do you use to make such songs? And it has great quality, well done!
Author's Response:
Thank you. I used Cooledit Pro and Reason. Although for the final mix, my friend ran my drums and vox through some compressors in Cubase. I would have done it myself, but I don't have Cubase. Also, I hear Cubase is made for crazy people and I'm totally sane.
